UCLA Gerontology and Geriatrics Interest Group (GIG)
The purpose of the Gerontology and Geriatrics Interest Group (GIG) is three-fold:
- To promote interest in gerontology and geriatrics across all academic disciplines
- To provide fellowship among students, faculty, professionals, and the community
- To provide a forum for the sharing of and presentation of innovative ideas in the field of gerontology and geriatrics

In her presentation, Dr. Anderson will present research (and related concepts) in the area of genetic and genomic healthcare education, with its implications to practice. She will also discuss the newly released report from the Institute of Medicine on Genetic and Genomic Education for Clinicians. The presentation has implications to researchers, clinicians, and those interested in learning about the emerging topics of genetic and genomics in healthcare.
